TimeTrail
TimeTrail is a security workforce management platform built for firms that need tighter control over scheduling, reporting, tracking, and field coordination. Unlike generic tools, it is tailored for security operations with hourly check calls, geotagged QR scans, intelligent geofencing, live GPS tracking, WhatsApp staff contact, and a web command center for real-time situational awareness. I worked across the React Native mobile app and the web platform revamp for Agile Guarding Services.
The challenge
Security companies needed more than a basic roster tool. Guards had to verify presence on schedule through check calls and QR scans, supervisors needed live tracking and instant alerts when check-ins were missed, and managers needed modern web pages for analytics, site management, and rapid scheduling without relying on expensive legacy software.

Architecture
Guards use a React Native app for check calls, QR scans, geofencing, incident reporting, and live location updates. Missed check-ins and zone breaches flow to supervisor alerts through the backend. Managers use a React web dashboard with a command center, analytics views, site management, rota planning, and scheduling tools connected to the same APIs that power the mobile experience.
My role
Full stack engineer on mobile and web. Built the React Native field app frontend and backend flows for check calls, QR scans, geofencing, and tracking. On web, led UI revamps and frontend API integrations for the analytics page, sites page, scheduling views, and related manager workflows.
Challenge
Connecting field reliability features like hourly QR scans and geofence compliance with a redesigned web experience, while integrating multiple backend APIs across analytics, sites, and scheduling without breaking live operations.
Solution
Delivered mobile check-in and patrol flows end to end, then rebuilt key web surfaces with cleaner UI and stable API integrations so managers could act on live data from analytics and site pages. Platform costs dropped from roughly £2,000/month to £150/month, bespoke requests shipped within hours, and client complaint resolution improved by 60%.
